As I am sure you are aware by now,I love everything about weddings but when I came across a wedding like Roisin and Mark’s I got very excited. It is so refreshing to see an Irish couple create a wedding that is full of style,charm and personality. Roisin and Mark set out to create the wedding of their dreams without conforming to the traditional wedding checklists,which can lead some couples astray in planning the wedding they think they should have – rather than the wedding they want to have.
The plans all fell into place when Roisin found her perfect wedding dress, a stunning David Fielden gown from Myrtle Ivory www.myrtleivory.com, complemented with the most unusual feather hair pin and Aruna Seth wedding shoes www.arunaseth.com. Her look was stunning-so glamorous and individual. Roisin’s wedding style played an important role in choosing their venue so when they visited Markree Castle in County Sligo www.markreecastle.ie with its Louis XIV dinning room,gold gilt features and views over the Sligo countryside they knew it was the venue for them. A venue where they could relax and plan the wedding their way.
I love the fact that they kept their wedding very personal involving as many of their own friends to create the perfect day. Everything from their photography (www.penryphotography.ie), to their flowers, cake, bridemaids dresses, hair&makeup were all supplied by their friends,people who know them as a couple and know their personalities.
This is definitely one of the most stylish weddings I have seen in a very long time. Thank you to Roisin and Mark for sharing these Images with me,but most of all thank you for being so stylish and for your inspiration!

I love wedding details but most of all I love the planning process of a wedding and when inspiration becomes reality. Inspiration boards are perfect when planning your wedding to help you decide on the look and feel of your wedding style. They are also an essential tool for brides and grooms when dealing with their suppliers and vendors so they also know the type of wedding the couple are having and therefore giving everyone a clearer picture. My favourite inspirations….romantic, whimsical, pretty, stylish and elegant and this inspiration is one of my favourites. Beautiful and romantic.

Even the Bridal Party ooze fantastic style – they all look like they have stepped off a fashion shoot, so brilliant! I think it would be every bridesmaids dream to be able to dress as cool as you wanted and not have to wear a pink taffeta meringue dress. Nice
These flower shots are so gorgeous I had to share them with you! For brides who have yet to decide on their table settings or reception decoration arrangements like any of the ones below would be so perfect for a modern and colourful wedding and for the very stylish couple! Tulips are my all time favourite flowers so I get very excited when I see stunning flower arrangements like this – I particularly love the touch of lace and vintage style broaches to the flower vases! such a great look. The Village at Lyons is for me the best Wedding Venue in Ireland,not only because I recently had my own wedding there but because it is truly unique and can offer the bride&groom the most stunning venue for their perfect day. If you don’t know about this place it is worth a visit just to experience how beautiful it is and its only 15miles from Dublin hidden away on the Lyons Estate.
Cascading Waterfalls, 17th century fireplaces, Love Doves and courtyards are only a few of the beautiful features on offer not to mention a menu worthy of five stars. This is my Wedding Venue of the year but will sure to be the Venue of your dreams!

I love every little detail about a Wedding and including every type of wedding from the very simple to traditional, shabby chic to vintage glamour and destination to home garden weddings. Every bride and every dress are simply beautiful and these pictures are just some of my favourite which I want to share with you.
I thought it would be appropriate if the first wedding I blogged was my own…as I am only recently married I am still on a high but miss all the excitment of colour schemes, flowers,dresses and overall planning of the day. This is why I am very excited about this blog because it is my only excuse to keep looking at beautiful wedding sites and magazines and to document everything pretty about Weddings!
Our Wedding Reception was at The Village at Lyons, a stunning venue in Kildare which was the perfect backdrop for the type of Wedding we wanted, Vintage Glamour. Everything from my dress, to the venue, the weather, the music and our first dance under the stars was perfect.
