As I am sure you are aware by now,I love everything about weddings but when I came across a wedding like Roisin and Mark’s I got very excited. It is so refreshing to see an Irish couple create a wedding that is full of style,charm and personality. Roisin and Mark set out to create the wedding of their dreams without conforming to the traditional wedding checklists,which can lead some couples astray in planning the wedding they think they should have – rather than the wedding they want to have.

The plans all fell into place when Roisin found her perfect wedding dress, a stunning David Fielden gown from Myrtle Ivory www.myrtleivory.com, complemented with the most unusual feather hair pin and Aruna Seth wedding shoes www.arunaseth.com. Her look was stunning-so glamorous and individual. Roisin’s wedding style played an important role in choosing their venue so when they visited Markree Castle in County Sligo www.markreecastle.ie with its Louis XIV dinning room,gold gilt features and views over the Sligo countryside they knew it was the venue for them. A venue where they could relax and plan the wedding their way.

I love the fact that they kept their wedding very personal involving as many of their own friends to create the perfect day. Everything from their photography (www.penryphotography.ie), to their flowers, cake, bridemaids dresses, hair&makeup were all supplied by their friends,people who know them as a couple and know their personalities.
